Day trekking to beautiful Medang waterfall

Can you spot Eddie's guest in the picture?

Not far from Chilling waterfalls is the Medang waterfall. Starting from Orang Asal village in Kampung Pertak, this trek takes you thro’ local fruit orchards, petai, bamboo clusters, rattan and secondary vegetation. The jungle trek is moderately challenging.During the fruit season, trekkers may be lucky to pick up some jungle durians, mangosteen, langsat and others.

Upon reaching the lower portion of the Medang waterfall, there is a modest waterfall with a decent play pool. We have to trek following the side of the river till we reach the curtain falls. This portion has a sloping rocky formation where we can slide down into a shallow pool.

Trekking further up thro the jungle will bring us to the gorgeous Medang Falls. The water splashing down can give us a good body massage too.

There’s a large rocky area facing the front of the waterfall and it’s a great picnic and relaxing spot. It will take at least 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours of trekking to reach the waterfall.
