Story & pictures by Mr Eddie Yap
Abdel Aziz from Algeria, works as a chemical engineer in the petroleum/naturalgas industry which is situated in the desert.
So, it was my pleasure to take him into the rainforest for a jungle trek which ended at the Chiling waterfall. He was shown different aspects of the fauna & flora and he had a great time at the waterfall.
I, also took him to the local farmer’s market ,showing him all the different types of vegetables & fruits. Visiting an Orang Asal (indigenous) village, he interacted with a few of the natives and was able to have a pet gibbon sit beside him giving it Cepedak (local fruit).
As he is a Muslim,I made sure that his drinks & food must be Halal.
It was a fun & rewarding guide assignment for me.
